Planning a service event is an awesome and inspiring process and the SLP staff love to assist people in planning service events. To help make planning a service event easier, the SLP has developed three great resources:
There are tons of service events already planned that just need volunteers in the Eugene/Springfield community. To help people connect with these events, the SLP maintains a campus and community calendar of service events and educational opportunities related to service.

The SLP maintains a database of organizations looking for volunteers. Most of the entries are looking for students who want to volunteer over multiple days, but many of them would be happy to have a group of students work on special projects for them.

The SLP keeps a list of community organizations that regularly have groups come in and do projects. Just send us an email with information about what sort of project you want to do. Additionally, if you want, the SLP will contact the organization and set the project up for you. If you prefer to do the contacting, we will just send you the volunteer coordinators contact information.
