Volunteer Position

Opportunity Title	Environmental Educator Intern

Theme	Climate Change and Sustainability

Description	Assist our Education and Outreach Coordinator this winter, spring and summer. The environmental education intern will help lead students ranging from 6-18 years old in hands on restoration projects and education activities. Primary duties include: -Leading high school students in hands on restoration projects at Alton Baker Park two Thursdays a month from 1:00pm - 2:30pm. -Traveling with the Education Coordinator to assist teaching at Hamlin Middle School on Mondays from 10am.-12pm. and Walterville Middle School on Tuesdays from 12:30pm - 3pm.

Types of Work

Dates and Times when volunteers are most needed
Position begins in January and may extend through July. Minimum requirement is 4 hours a week up to 12 hrs a week.
Minimum Commitment Level Ten Weeks (One Quarter)
Limitations or Restrictions	Applicant must have a strong desire to work with youth and have an interest in education. Knowledge in habitat restoration, ecology and local flora a plus. Past experience working with youth preferred
