Opportunity Title Environmental Educator Intern

Description
Assist our Education and Outreach Coordinator this winter, spring and summer. The environmental education intern will help lead students ranging from 6-18 years old in hands on restoration projects and education activities.

Primary duties include:
-Leading high school students in hands on restoration projects at Alton Baker Park two Thursdays a month from 1:00pm - 2:30pm.
-Traveling with the Education Coordinator to assist teaching at Hamlin Middle School on Mondays from 10am.-12pm. and Walterville Middle School on Tuesdays from 12:30pm - 3pm.

Types of Work

Dates and Times when volunteers are most needed
Position begins in January and may extend through July. Minimum requirement is 4 hours a week up to 12 hrs a week.
Minimum Commitment Level Ten Weeks (One Quarter)
Limitations or Restrictions Applicant must have a strong desire to work with youth and have an interest in education. Knowledge in habitat restoration, ecology and local flora a plus. Past experience working with youth preferred
