Opportunity Title Youth Mentor

Description
Centro Latino Americano Youth Mentoring Program provides at risk Latino youth with a caring adult mentor that enrich their lives culturally, socially and academically, and support them reaching their potential, through one-on-one mentoring friendships. The mentor will be matched up with a Latino youth according to gender, age, skills and interests. Mentoring will be done in a minimum of one hour a week and 6 hours a month. Mentors plan with their mentee each week on what they want to do in the community. The mentor is required to go through a Mentor Training and Child Abuse Training provided by Centro. Mentor and mentee will be supported throughout their relationship by the Mentoring Coordinator.

Immediate need for mentors. Hours of volunteering depend on mentor and mentee's schedules.
Minimum Commitment Level Nine Months
Limitations or Restrictions Mentor must self-identify as Latino.
