Opportunity Title Youth Advocate at New Roads

Description
Youth Advocates assist homeless youth between the ages of 16-21 with tasks such as job and housing search and applications and forms that go along with that process. Help with staffing the day access/drop-in center, which includes checking youth in, assessing and evaluating youth for program eligibility, answering phones, and providing referrals and advocacy in accessing other area agencies. Youth Advocates also assist youth with daily living tasks such as shopping lists, budgeting forms, etc.

Minimum Commitment Level Ten Weeks (One Quarter)
Limitations or Restrictions Volunteers must attend a 2-day training Bi-lingual speaking is a plus.
