Mission
We are a grief support program for youth. Our mission is to provide a caring and accepting atmosphere where grieving young people will learn that their feelings and thoughts are normal and that expressing those helps to relieve the pain of the loss. Courageous Kids offers weekly support group meetings for different ages and their families, as well as an annual 4-day residential camp. Trained facilitators address a theme each meeting. We use art, drama, games, sand play, writing and discussion to give voice to thoughts and feelings, tell our stories, ask questions, address life changes and to remember the loved ones.
