Building Strong Partnerships Through Service
Every winter the SLP offers grants to community nonprofits and agencies in the Eugene/Springfield area who work with UO students, faculty or staff on service learning projects or initiatives. The mission of the grant is to engage community organizations and students in learning together through service and civic engagement. A preference is given to initiatives that take place off the University of Oregon campus. Additionally, preference is given to projects that focus on providing a direct service (see application for definitions), involve many students, and are sustainable.
The Community Partner Grant application must be completed by a local community organization that has a connection with a specific student population. Applications will be due during fall term, but applications turned in early will be considered.
